Kvd -h summarizes other supported qureies. Under firmware 1.00.16 and earlier, you can disable the Arcadyan's Wifi radios with "kvd -w", and re-enable with "kvd -W", but under the new 1.00.18 this no longer works as well, merely disabling the normal SSIDs but leaving two hidden ones active, and the radios still wasting energy and generating extra heat. ![]() ![]() Kvd -f polls the same data more frequently, helpful when tring to aim a directional antenna. Yielding log data like this (see comments in the script for the column ordering): 13:57 3 -114 -6 -108 14 2. I run this once/minute as "kvd" from /etc/crontab as * * * * * root /rw/bin/kvd -l >/var/log/kvd They should run under MacOS and other Unix-like systems with only minor changes, and possibly under Cygwin on Windows, though I haven't tried that. EDIT: By request, I've uploaded these to Pastebin also for easier access:īelow are some quick shell scripts I wrote to monitor and log signal data from the Arcadyan KVD21 (and previously a Nokia 5G21) from my Linux-based router, in case these are useful to anyone. ![]()
